Any suggestions on how to repair a tear in the sofa of an enclosed rear shock is breaking out of bed?

Back cushions on my couch is the attachment style (loose, not removable). Due to "dumb kids" accident, someone inadvertently pads separated from each the body of the table. This has led to a huge rip in the fabric. The pad is literally hanging by a thread. I have no matching fabric (arm covers, etc) also to have the new upholstery, do you have any idea of how it could solve the thread and minimize potential damage in the future? It could be a desperate situation but I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

If you mean that the mattress is really ripped from the wood? No sewing fabric just back together only the fabric to the wood?
