Black Indoor Outdoor Carpet
Youngstersthey are now not found everywhere in the USA, carpet beetles are generally found within homes, warehouses, museums and different buildings. The three main states terrorized by the carpet beetle are Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. They are known ordinarily to do damage to any type of fabric, adding both clothes and other material goods. Some common species of carpet beetles are:
Varied carpet beetle (also referred to as Standard carpet beetle or Furniture carpet beetle)
Black carpet beetle (Megatoma)
The former of those two, the varied carpet beetle, is black with an atypical pattern of white, yellow and brown spots on the covers of its wings. Despite the fact it is small, comparable to the length of a ladybug, it is still visible to the human eye. Its larvae is recognizable mainly for its spiky or furry texture.
The latter of those two, the black carpet beetle, is usually dark brown to glossy black. It is roughly the equal size as the multiple carpet beetle. Their larvae is exclusive in the feel that it is carrot-shaped and has bristles at its narrow end. Female beetles will deposit their eggs on or near wool carpets. Their existence span is between two and six weeks and they lay approximately forty eggs at a time.
Why MightThey Show Up Now?
Carpet beetles are major fans of natural fibers, which take the form of wool, animal furs or skins, feathers, human or pet hair, leather, stuffed animals, etc. Aside from natural fibers, they are also attracted to dried and silk plant products. If searching for these pests in the home, looking in any one of the following places will be most effective:
On the floor or round baseboards
In closets
Beneath upholstered furniture
Undersides of carpeting.
Like most bugs, carpet beetles input the home via small cracks or openings that allow them to creep their way in. As soon as inside, they will lurk around natural fibers wherein they will lay their eggs and reproduce.
How Bad Can They Be?
Although the specific beetles are more of a chance to your clothes and less to you, they are nonetheless a nuisance. They will harm carpets, clothing, upholstery and furniture, among different fabric goods. Their larvae, however, can cause epidermis irritation if it comes into touch with human skin.
Take Care of Them Now
The main party responsible for getting rid of a carpet beetle infestation is the actual home owner. The process of looking through items and checking for evidence of infestation is something that homeowners can easily do.
1. If there is infestation of goods they should be wiped clean in the manner appropriate for the exact item.
2.Natural fiber carpets or rugs that are affected with the aid of carpet beetles should be professionally wiped clean by a cleansing company. After this is accomplished, it is safe to think that the infestation is handled.
3.Following the inspection of infested items, a thorough cleaning of the area is needed, including a device that will help clean natural fibers like pet hair and carpet fiber out of tight crevices and cracks.

QUESTION:
Options: Indoor cat to outdoor cat due to excessive shedding?
I love my cat to death. He's a spunky, energetic ball of fluff who is hilarious and makes me laugh. The main problem is he sheds like crazy! I know it's common for animals to shed, but it's like he doesn't ever seem to stop! It's embarrassing going around with hairy clothes and he leaves big blobs of hair on our bedding and the carpet. We lint roll and lint roll and lint roll! but to no avail. I go to work after having lint rolled my black shirt and I still have hair all over me! I don't want to constantly be rolling myself with tape.
We are moving to a new house soon and we are also going to be trying to have a baby and I don't want to choke the baby out with having hair everywhere! I refuse to get rid of him because he is so unique in the way he acts and I simply love him. We are strongly considering making him an outdoor cat once we move to the new house to keep hair from being everywhere. I hate doing that because he's always been indoors; he's always been curious about the outdoors, even where we are now but I worry about him running off or feeling that we abandoned him if left outside
What are some good pointers or tips or anything that will help reduce his shedding? I have heard some special food can reduce it and excessive brushing and vacuuming. What about bathing?
Please, please anything that we can do or any special brushes or food or vitamins that work extremely well, please let me know. I don't want to make him an outdoor cat! Thanks!!

ANSWER:
You don't need to put your cat out because of shedding. Daily grooming with a comb instead of a brush will get out more loose hair from the undercoat and will put a damper on shedding. Feeding a good diet will also help. Look for food brands that don't contain corn or high amounts of grain and by-products. Wellness and Blue Buffalo are good ones you can try. You can also supplement Omega-3's into the diet if the vet recommends. He also needs to see a vet to rule out any medical problems that could be causing the excessive shedding. Stress can also be a factor. You're pregnant so he can sense the changes occurring. Try a Feliway diffuser to relieve anxiety. This will help with the move as well. Putting your kitty outside, especially in a strange neighborhood, could mean he won't be around for very long. You might be interested in a grooming tool called a Furminator. It gets out tons of loose hair. Check into it.

QUESTION:
Substrates for snakes? And other snake questions...?
I'm really looking into getting a Mexican Black King Snake and I have a few questions..
As far as substrates go, I was thinking about indoor/outdoor carpeting. But I'm wondering. What kind to get (what material I mean) and how often do I change it? Will it grow bacteria more then another substrate?
For feeding a new snake how do I know when to go from pinky up a size?
Also I was planning on putting the cage on my wooden dresser would the heating pad cause a huge fire hazard? Suggestions for that?
Lastly I've read a bunch of things and each thing says something different about size vs tank size.
So can someone tell me how many gallons for how many feet or something like that (or when a baby get a _ gallon tank then at -insert feet here- get a _ gallon tank)
Any other info would be great
Thanks in advance
OH and do I need a uv light or will they be fine with out one?
Ugly Angel : Thanks
Your info helps a lot.
Lol-
ANSWER:
Mexican black king snakes are great pet snakes with excellent appetites and are generally pretty laid back. I use paper towels for my babies and newspaper for my adults. I'm not a real big fan of the reptile carpet because it can be a pain in the a$$ to keep cleaning it and I've seen plenty of people who use it and get tired of cleaning it often, so they allow feces to build up, which causes bacterial growth. Paper towels are easy. You just throw them away, scrub out the enclosure and put some new paper towels in. If you don't like the look of newspaper or paper towels, you can use aspen bedding. You'll want to feed it something about as big around as the thickest part of its body. If the food item doesn't create a lump in the snake's belly, then it's usually time to move up. King snakes grow quickly, so it won't be long before you upgrade to fuzzy mice.
Having the heat pad on the dresser won't be a problem. The heat pad should come with little rubber things to go on the corners of the tank to slightly elevate the tank to allow airflow under the tank to prevent heat buildup. If the heat pad doesn't come with any, you can buy some or use something to slightly elevate the tank. A baby king snake can live in a 10 gallon tank and an adult will need at least a 20 gallon tank. They do not need UVB lights, just a heat source.

QUESTION:
In a house of multiple cats, why do they often get into serious, fur-ripping fights?
I came home one night to find my cats brawling like bloody hell in my bedroom all at one time, and this isn't the first, either.I have four cats (Yeah, 'yeesh!' right?) in my household, three being unexpected rescues who my mother got attached to, and the fourth being an expected pet. Two of those rescued cats are six year old brothers, one tabby and one Russian Blue, while the third rescued cat is a one year old black Tiffany/Chantilly female. My fourth cat, however, is ten years old, and has lived with me the longest considering that he was a birthday present of mine in my childhood. This elder of a cat is the sheriff of our Townhouse and the guard-dog of our home, and despite being a moderate-sized ginger and white with a sweet, friendly demeanour, he chases off any animal he can tackle with a fearlessness that I fear will soon get him killed. He has shared our home with the two brothers for six years, and the new female addition has lived here for only one, but all have gotten along just fine until about eight months ago, save for a few 'arguments,' if you will. All these cats are fixed, by the way, but they are indoor-outdoor cats, too.
Now, I've been told by a cat-breeder that house cats don't set social standards between alpha males and clan-status, but I find this untrue from the behavior I've been seeing. My oldest cat [Cinnamon] has been constantly attacking the two brothers, even going as far as attacking my small one-year old female when she's simply basking in the sun. His favorite target is my Russian Blue [Onyx] who is the weakest link out of the cats because of how he rarely fights back [my young female even bosses him around, and she's half his size]. These fights are NOT playful. Fur is always in the air, small scars are sometimes left, and the screams from the fights are as bloodcurdling as two strays going at it like wolves.
Now, this charade stopped for a short period of time, until one of the larger brothers [Egypt] has been taking it upon himself to attack Cinnamon now, or even purposely provoking him into attacking him. My female [Zaiema] usually stays out of it all and watches like a deer caught in headlights. But the night that my cats were fighting in my bedroom - with the seclusion of my female - was like a dog-pile. Hair was left everywhere on my carpet and I even saw a bit of blood stained there as well. I can NOT understand these bipolar patterns they lapse into, and want to know if anyone else has ever encountered this with a house of multiple cats who have lived under the same roof for years on end, and our just now acting out so viciously. I'm not exactly sure if one is trying to take the 'throne' of the other or what, but it isn't a normal hissy-fight.

ANSWER:
I went and looked for reasons why your cats might be doing this and since you feel that its not for play I came up with these reasons.-Sexual Aggression-which is more common in neutered cats over territory and over dominance. The article suggests scruffing to discourage cats from fighting.
-Redirected Aggression- which is because something happen to make your cat angry but they can't effect it so they turn on the cats that are around. Methods to spot fighting
-Distraction
-Intervention (physical)

QUESTION:
I have the worst allergies I NEED HELP please!
?
I'm a teenage girl and I am a HUGE allergy sufferer. It's ruining my social life and happiness. I live in Austin, TX, a BIG pollen hotspot. I have been to a true allergist 5 or 6 times with my mom, which is SO rare for her because we never go to "real" doctors, she believes in alternative healing, but it's so bad that even she sees it!What my skin test said I am allergic to many things, here they are in categories.
Trees: Oak (my worst), olive, ELM, birch, ash, hickory, mullberry, poplar, sycamore, maple, cypress, PECAN, walnut, CEDAR.
Grasses: Spring grass mix, fall grass mix, bermuda grass.
Weeds: fall weed mix, RAGWEED!, sagebrush.
Others: Outdoor and indoor MOLD mix, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, dust mites, cockroaches
As you can see, this isn't "just a runny nose". I have used every homeopathic remedy, tons of alternative drops, etc. I take 50 mg of Benadryl faithfully every 4 hours just to stay upright.
The "real" medicines I've tried: Allegra, Singular, Optivar eyedrops, Nasonex nasal spray, Patanol eyedrops, Flonase nasal spray, Zyrtec, Clarinex, Claritin, Nasalcrom nasal spray, etc, etc. I have also used inhalers at my worst points, because I was WHEEZING.
Right now I take Zyrtec in the morning and Claritin at night, alternative drops, and the 50mg of Benadryl every 4 hours. I also do NOT go outside except to walk from the car into the store, etc. I don't even walk the dog when it's this bad! I take a shower every night before I enter my bedroom. My laundry hamper is outside of my room. Windows are always closed. We have no carpet. We vacuum daily. I have a HEPA air filter in my room. We use allergy filters in our vents. I change my sheets weekly. No houseplants. I don't wear eye makeup.
My symptoms: Runny nose, itchy nose, repetitive sneezing, itchy ears, itchy roof of mouth and throat, post nasal drip, chapped and red nose, "blocked" feeling in ears, itchy face and neck (outside), congestion, irritability, tiredness, itchy eyes, watery eyes, red eyes, stinging eyes, black circles under eyes, headache, migraines, swollen glands, sore throat, itchy all over, earaches.. etc.
I don't know what else to do. I know everyone says shots but we don't have health insurance, and my mom also doesn't really believe in them. We can't afford it anyways. The only solution I can think of is to move, but I am only 16 and can't.
Not trying to make my mom sound bad, she is wonderful and tries so hard for me. She would give anything for me to be better, even shots if we had enough money.
Please help me, any little thing that might help me. Thank you so much
To give you an idea of how bad this is, I'll tell you guys about when I went for one of my skin tests. They give you 8 pricks on the inside of your forearm, all different allergens. The one that had oak on it got to be 1 by 2 inches in 6 minutes. The doctors at the clinic freaked out, they rubbed the oak off with rubbing alchohol the second they saw it. Usually, you leave it on for 20-25 minutes, so the dr. didn't even think to look after 6 minutes. They usually grow to be about 1/2 cm by 1/2 cm. My whole arm turned red, all the way down my chest, my neck, my arm was swelling. It itched SO BAD. They gave me 75mg Benadryl and made me sit down with a cold washcloth on it and observed me. It was very serious.-
