Ideas: fun, active things to make a birthday party 16 in southern California!?

I was trying to find as a zip and type canopy tour of things that may sound silly, because Southern California is as flat. But doing that in Mexico was the most fun I've had, so please suggestions of things like that. It's for a birthday party for 16, entry actually mine, and I'm stuck without ideas. I really do not want to have a big party or something and on television. I'm thinking about 30 people, but that could change. I like to do something fun and keep everyone busy. NO hard times. My family is willing to go far. Probably about four hours at a distance of Orange County. Help would be helpful. I need creative ideas and unforgettable!

I bought a tent for a backyard party. I need the deck area of the top of the tent, because I want to buy curtain fabric at the bottom to make it look nicer. Right now I'm saving it in my parents garage the city so I can not go to measure the cover.
