Tickets and Seating Arrangements for Chicago's Apollo Theater and Aragon Ballroom
Not to be confused with New York's Apollo, Chicago's Apollo Theater was built by Jason Brett and Stuart Oken and first opened its doors to the public in 1978. Formerly, there was a theater with the same name on Randolph Street in Chicago that closed in 1987 and was subsequently demolished in 1989. Today, the Apollo Theater is located at 2540 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park, one of Chicago's most prestigious neighborhoods. Redesigned by Michael Lustig into a breathtaking concrete and glass design, when you step into the Apollo Theater, the lobby welcomes every visitor with an art exhibit, full bar and souvenir counter.
The seating arrangement in the Apollo Theater is situated to provide the maximum enjoyment for every person in attendance. An intimate crowd of just 440 persons is situated in eleven rows around the three quarter thrust stage. Plush seating provides comfort and gives every member of the audience a thrilling theatrical experience. It has earned the Apollo Theater the reputation for being Chicago's most innovative theater for families, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Emerald City Theatre Company, which is Chicago's largest children's theater company, calls the Apollo Theater home. Your family can make plans to enjoy any one or more of the currently playing venues that are at the Apollo Theater.
The Apollo Theater is not just for children however and many adult programs have played at this theater for several years. Thinking about a more intimate setting than the 440-seat setting? The Apollo Studio is a 50-set space that hosts improve, sketch, comedy and many others. Artists such as Tracy Egan and Aaron Freeman have been featured here, making this a must-stop location for a smart way to get your laugh on.
The Aragon Entertainment Center, formerly recognized as the Aragon Ballroom was constructed by Andrew and William Karzas in 1926. Aragon is the name of a Spanish province in the northeast region of the country. The architecture is reflected by the now historic design of the Aragon Ballroom, which replicates a Spanish courtyard. The moment you walk into this space, you feel a sense of awe and appreciation for the area. From the terra cotta ceilings above down to the beautiful balconies and mosaic tiled archways, the Aragon Ballroom welcomes each visitor to experience a unique entertainment experience for every event that's held here.
Whether it is an intimate concert for a group of 700 or a world class boxing match with 4,500 screaming fans nestled around the ring, the Aragon is your destination for entertainment enjoyment. Regarded as one of Chicago's premiere venues for live entertainment, this venue is great for concerts, dances, corporate events, cultural events, conventions, wrestling matches, boxing, movie and video production, television programs and much more. It is the ideal setting for many different events and the architecture makes the ambience of each participant's visit to the Aragon Ballroom one that is unlike any other experience in the world.

Lawrence Avenue in the windy city of Chicago, whether you're looking for tickets to your favorite band for a special event or just a reward for a job well done, the Aragon Ballroom is your one-stop to make the night come alive with the rewarding entertainment experience you seek. Deep Seating Set Q&A
Is democracy more than a simple yes or no set of options that appears every 4 years?
It seems that voting one way or another doesn't solve deep problems - for example the influence of corporations on government through lobbying, the influence of media ownership concentration. It's easy to speak out against this sort of thing - but how realistic things citizens can do to really make a difference?
First, I congratulate you to begin to understand. What you want to consider is whether the "democracy" is the ideal, or if there is something else important. "Democracy" is not equivalent to "freedom." Our country was not founded on democracy, or to preserve democracy at all times. The ideal was freedom, and our founders were very aware of the fact that democracies can be as tyrannical as a dictatorship. What can really do is to reject the assumption that the choice is limited to the two major parties. Begin to evaluate candidates, all candidates based on their principles and beliefs and ignore the comments SoundBytes and media. Ignore PBS and Conservative Talk Radio look what the candidates actually say and do and have said and done over time. Once you identify the candidate who shares their principles and values, voting as if it were only having one vote. When enough people do that instead of falling advertising and slick promises, we will have something more than democracy, we will be free.
