How do you tie these scarves?

I just bought a few scarves today, but I'm not entirely sure how to tie them. I bought a few long ones and one square one.
I'm having a problem with the square one because I'm trying to do it where you fold it in half so it's a triangle and then you tie it in the back, but there's a LOT of material in the back. It's loose like it should be in the front, but the ends are still really thick and long in the back. How do you tie that, or am I even doing it right?
Also, what are all the ways you can tie the long scarves around your neck only? Also, are there other ways to tie the square scarf?

Take the middle and put that to the front of your throat. Put the ends over your shoulders and bring them back the the front on the oposite side.
