When properly treated, Red Cedar furniture may last for decades in the harshest of environments.

A final way to protect your outdoor wood furniture and maintain it for the long haul is to simply put a roof over it. Whether it is an awning on your deck, a covered roof for your sunroom or your garage during the winter, a roof can go a long way to help you keep the sun, rain and wind off of your wood furniture and protect it for years to come.

Best cleaner for outdoor wood siding?

I should know this BUT. in my experience with cleaning mildew buildup on wood siding with some chemicals have not been favorable. I have used TSP before and it seems to not only take the mold off but the paint as well. Clorox is awfully strong too...good for scrubbing natural wood but painted surfaces suffer. I used Windex Outdoor on my dads backporch and front of the house and with elbow grease it's great and now to do the shed in the backyard, It's wood siding...a difference. What would you reccomend?

How can I waterproof outdoor spotlights? They are the temporary stake type spotlights.?

I bought a set to use in my Halloween graveyard and they got wet and shorted out. Then I made wood boxes with plexiglass covers but the plexiglass melted.
