   Why is my gray composite decking turned tan where patio furniture sets?
   Under the umbrella stand and uder the table legs have left tan looking spots.

     Maybe it is slightly damp there, making it appear more tan; or it may be sun faded where the furniture hasn't been covering it.

   I just got a new ratan patio furniture set and I live in arizona so now it is completely blanketed in dust after the big dust storm we just had. Is it ok to hose it all off since it is patio furniture or would that be bad for the ratan?

   Damage to lawn from outdoor furniture?
   My wife and I just completed a total remake of our backyard. We ripped out everything, regraded, then re-sodded the lawn. It looks amazing. Now we want to put a nice patio furniture set out there. The question is though, will putting that out on the lawn kill the grass. I expect that it would kill whatever grass is right under the legs of the various pieces of furniture. However I don't know what it might do to the grass that's under the table/couch/etc... but doesn't actually have anything pressing down on it.

     sounds like you've been bizzy in answer to you question yes the grass under garden furniture would die but if you just move it around every couple of days then all will be well you only need to move it a little just so that the legs are not resting on the same spot but you will have to continue moving it because lack of light will kill grass move it up lawn and then when you run out of room move it back down the lawn again

   Can someone tell me where to get reasonably priced deep comfortable seat patio furniture?
   I have been looking all over ottawa and I can't find decently priced pieces, they all come in sets. anyone have any suggestions?

   • ANSWER:
     I would have a good look around on eBay. Although you do have to be careful and only buy from those with a good feedback rating I have seen some wonderful furniture on there and they will ship to your door. I think most of it is imported in any case. I have had a lot of success buying on that site - items both large and small. Amazon is good too.

     If you have seen patio furniture you like locally but it is just too expensive then hang around (if you can) until the end of the season and see if it is reduced.

5. QUESTION:
   Where can I get quality patio furniture for a good price?
   we would like a 7 piece set (table with 6 chairs)
   Something that will not rust...for less than 500. also somethin comfortable, and something that will not fall apart in 2 years.

     Check www.craigslist.org. If you're not familiar with this site, it is an online, free classified ad service servicing all 50 states. Once on this site, just click on your state and whatever city/cities you are willing to travel to pick up your item. Instead of paying 0 for a brand new set, you can easily find sets that individuals are selling that are anywhere from brand-new to vintage and in all price ranges (and more than likely pay about 0 on something that would easily cost 0 or more brand new in a store).    Fully assembled Patio Furniture-Where can I purchase it?
   I am not able to assemble furniture. I want to purchase a nice conversation set, and a table and chairs to match it for my lanai. I have checked everywhere and I cannot find "fully assembled sets".

   Any ideas? I live in Florida

     Hi ~ CedarStore.com sells furniture that is partially assembled, but if you contact them, they will advise what the price difference would be to have everything assembled before shipping. The price difference would be for them to have to ship everything motor freight.

7. QUESTION:
   Re-stuff patio chairs?
   I just bought a seven piece used patio furniture set. My question is how to I get the cushions on the chairs to puff up again. Of course from usage they are packed down and don't have the "puff" look anymore. The cushion design itself is still in great shape, no rips or stains, just lacking in comfort. Any suggestion is appreciated.

   • ANSWER:
     Hopefully the cushion covers have zips so you can remove them, if so you’re in luck. Go to a haberdashery shop and buy a few metres of polyester wadding. Remove the cushion covers and place the wadding over the top of the exposed cushion and cut the wadding to the size of the cushion. You can use a couple of layers of wadding if you think it needs it. Now replace the covers and enjoy the comfort of your restored cushions.

     Just in case your not sure what to look for when to go to haberdashery shop I have included a site that show you what it looks like. The other thing you can use if you can’t get to a haberdashery shop is buy a cheap polyester blanket and cut that to size and place it on the top inside the cushion.

9. QUESTION:
   If I get an outdoor dark wicker furniture set, how can I protect it from dog pee?
   I LOVE this outdoor living room set I saw..it will go underneith a patio. Where I live it doesn't rain much BUT my dogs pee on everything. Is it possible that I take off the cusions and, maybe, spray paint it with a clear gloss to protect the 'weatherproof' wicker?

   • ANSWER:
     They make a spray to keep dogs away from stuff. Go to you local pet store and ask them what it is. You can also spray things with garlic oil or vinegar to keep dogs away. Not sure how long the garlic would smell in your situation but the vinegar smell goes away in a couple days but still continues to work. We got a puppy for xmas and he decided to destroy our carpet. I sprayed the carpet with vinegar and he decided he didn't like it anymore.
