What is the best way to remove thin set tile with plaster on which the wall can be painted.?

I live in a house that was built in 50's and has some ugly tiles in the bathroom wall that was at the height of the chair rail. I removed all the old tiles, but I'll take the whole of fines on the wall. Is there an easy way to eliminate this. I tried to scrape the wall, but it doesn't completely eliminate ridges. and I tried a screen and sand to try to wall but it is very slow. Could you use an electric sander?

I would recommend removing the drywall completely and replaced by new drywall. It would probably be less work than they're doing now. You could use a sander, but it will be a big mess (wear a mask if you do) and is likely to damage the drywall that need repair anyway and the wall of his will and looking like shit. Demo existing drywall and will a new smooth wall tomorrow night.

What do I put in between two chair rails.?

I recently bought a house that had two moldings around a wall border at a chair rail height. I took the border out and have painted the room with a light color on top and a dark color on the bottom (two-tone). It looks great but i don't know what to put in between the chair rails now. Any ideas?

they are designed to be painted any color you want, and cut to fit your width. You can also get copper faux ceiling tiles or even real tile to fill into this, just be sure your room is enhanced by this whole concept, otherwise Id recommend removing it, and just painting the walls one color. So I have four ideas, three involve adding something to enhance the room, and one is to remove the trim and paint out the room to make the room feel bigger and cleaner and more modern, your choice!
