Paint.net shadowing/shading help?

I'm trying to make virtual pants so i want it too look like real fabric, but the gradient (is just a mess) because i try to do a small area not the whole picture. Can anyone tell me how to make it look more realistic or shade it? please and thank you.

Always remember to make a new (transparent) layer for each bit of editing that you do.

That way if something goes wrong, it won't affect what you have already done.

There are a number of ways to add shadows and highlights to your image.

One thing that you can try is painting some black where you want some shading to be.
(Use a separate layer for this)

Then blur the black. Press F4 and adjust the Opacity in Layers Properties.

Do the same using white for highlighting.

well, try sw+ss glutionone soap, they sell it on ebay. 100 is wayy too much to spend on anything, get a chemical peel instead of paying for a product that u don't even know if it will work..
